The Big Dig.  Here’s some shots of the terracing / urban farm project I have been working on (and finally finished!) over the course of a few weekends.  I cleared out around 800 sq ft of English Ivy (never doing that again), moved 2 tons of rocks from the driveway to the backyard, and picked up some sqft gardening tips for the design of the box and trellises.  Some surprises: I unearthed a functioning French drain buried 2 ft down, which lead to another day of digging to channel that further down the hill; a large level is essential for appropriate grading (which is key);thanks to www.earthproducts.net in Marietta for great advice and materials; a pick saves time; get a little shovel to occupy any little people hanging around; and seeds are the way to go!  Everything sprung up within 10 days.
